Comments: Trace Elementary parents and students decorate a 20 foot Star Wars themed float every year for the Rose, White and Blue parade, which is the biggest 4th of July parade in San Jose. Our goal is to promote our public schools, which have seen declining enrollments in recent years and at the same time show our love for Star Wars. This is going to be the third year that we have done a Star Wars float and it is always a HUGE, DEAFENING, CROWD PLEASER! We currently have a 10 foot Death Star already constructed and our goal is to have other Star Wars elements on the float, as well as, music (Imperial March and the Star Wars main theme) for the crowd. We will have some kids in Star Wars costumes and would welcome having performers from the 501st being on the float or walking along the float.

Performers should be in costume at the Trace float by 9:45 AM on Dana Ave. A secure changing area (Room 74, Trace main campus) will be available from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM before the parade and immediately after the parade. This is a fun parade and the adrenaline rush from the crowd can’t be matched. So please join us and MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!!!

UPDATES FROM EVENT REQUESTER

 

The District has decided to do some repaving work in room 74 on the Trace main campus. We have secured another room across the street from the Trace Main campus, in Trace Kinderworld. It’s in room K-1 and the campus is on the same block as the Rose Garden Library on Dana Ave. Mrs. Warburton will be there at 8:00 AM on the 4th. Would it be possible to update the post on your website? Also, could you let the folks who are coming about the room change?
