Hello GGG Members,
First off I wanted to say thank you for continuing to show your unparelled continous support of the VES Bay Area. The enthusiasm and spirit that all members of the GGG bring by attending our screenings and participating in our events has given our membership, their families and friends fantastic memories that I’m quite sure will last a lifetime.

We the members of the VES Bay Area board think the world of all of you and it is in that spirit we want to invite about 20 or so members to annual picnic. But here’s the thing.

We are at McNear’s Beach this year as we’ve tailored the event to be more about friends, and community and hanging out. It’s a casual day at the park with free beer, free wine, free BBQ, free parking. Really it’s a big hang out. We are very much looking forward to members attending. HOWEVER…we also want to make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves and well that means not all of you need to actually work/dress the event. (However we do in fact appreciate it HUGELY when members attend events and are flying their colors. You all just look like complete badasses when you show up. So frikin cool.)

We are only looking for four – five members of the GGG to dress for a short time during the picnic. We’re thinking an hour max for photo ops around 3:00 – 4:00?

Really this event is about making sure that the members of the VES and our friends know how much we appreciate them and well…that’s all of you all over the place.

So just to be clear.

20 of the GGG should plan on attending.
An ADDITIONAL 4 – 5 should plan on dressing for 1 hour for photo ops and then getting out of costume and returning to the merriment of lawn games, volley ball that kind of thing.

CONCERN: McNear’s Beach is a picnic area with sand, grass, and gravel. I can’t image it’s ideal for hard surface costume troopers making their way around that. I mean that’s why ya’ll have handlers but let’s not make it more complicated then it needs to be.

SUGGESTED SOLUTION
Given the lack of well…floors we are thinking that this may be a great opportunity for your DENIZEN participants to cease the day. The hope is that Jawas, Tuscan Raiders and the like would have a better time making it around the grass and sand. If we are WAY OFF on this assumption please let me know.

ONE (1) ticket per member. No exceptions.

This event is for members only. No outside guests are allowed.

Any member who attended a previous V.E.S Event will be placed at the bottom of the list automatically.
