Comments:
– Location of event/parking details: O.co Coliseum, 7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland, CA. All guests are encouraged to take BART (Coliseum stop) for convenience; parking is available for $20 at the gate. If you are selected as a Star Wars participant, parking will be made available to you.
– 20 MAX from all invited clubs, we are expecting to have 10 spaces but this is subject to change
– Event date, start & end times: Saturday, September 7th. All guests should plan on arriving between 2:30 and 3:00 to meet A’s representatives. The meeting will likely be outside the Eastside Club Lobby (located under the BART walkway), will confirm.
– Details: All participants will be met and escorted, based on their participation, throughout the facility. If fan group members elect to participate in game activities, there will be opportunities to interact with fans including pregame, In Game, and postgame. All are welcome to stay for the fireworks show and will be escorted down onto the field to view, if they wish.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Teams cannot direct fan group members to do any activities or be anywhere specific at any specific time – they may provide the groups with a list of activities to self-organize and participate in, but it is at fan group members’ own discretion. We strongly prefer that characters not throw out first pitches, participate in puck drops, sing the National Anthem, or things of that nature – if they want, fan group members may escort a child or fan to the mound, etc., but must not be directed to do so. Characters should not hold, wear, sit in or stand on any branded item or logo, especially with a team emblem. The fan groups are welcome to be photographed with others wearing the team logo/brands or in front of signage featuring the team logo/brand , however. We strongly suggest that teams provide a handler/security for costumed fans during activities to ensure the safety and security of said costumed fans, to protect them from overzealous game attendees.
Referred by: The Oakland A’s offer an open invite to costumed fan groups to attend their event this September 7th. This is approved by Lucasfilm.
Event Team
1 Darth Vader – Reno Rodriguez
1 Boba Fett – Alex Cruz
1 Republic Commando – Jason Goldman-Hall
1 AT-AT Commander – Troy Brierly
1 TIE Pilot – Cris Knight
1 Biker Scouts – Kris Yalung
1 Shore Troopers – Mark Macaspac
4 Stormtroopers – John Cambra, Robert Stevenson, Rick Miller, Keith Waechtler
The A’s will only have space for 20 characters from all groups. As this is a spec ops event we will advise the A’s on character mix, but end of the day they will be the ones making the picks on what characters they want to appear.
Basically this is just to let you all know we may have more sign ups than space, so there is a chance not everyone will be picked.
As this is a high profile event please review the garrison standards and practices forum post: https://www.501stggg.com/forum/topic/golden-gate-garrison-standards-and-practices/

Cera can handle if needed.
I can be TK or ID. I’m guessing my Sith Acolyte isn’t a huge priority.
I can TK, ST or handle.
I can go as a TK if Gordan is going as Vader
have to back out. Trying to cancel but it’s not showing on my phone. Will try from desktop when I get home.
Cera has a schedule conflict and can’t handle. I’m still trooping (or I can switch to handle if you need) though.
Sadly, I have to bow out from the A’s troop. Have fun and be safe everyone!
