6/5 – 6/10 Video for Greyson – Joint event with RL Endor Base

We have been asked to do a greeting video for a little boy who is a very big Star Wars fan and is recovering from heart surgery. Greyson is 7 years old and was born with HLHS [Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome] which means he was born with only half a functional heart. Therefore he has endured 3 open heart surgeries as doctors rebuild his heart as he grows.

Greyson just had surgery 6/3/20 so will probably be in hospital for about a month. Because of Covid 19 there are extremely strict rules and only his mother, father & aunt who is a licensed physical therapist are allowed into his room & only 1 person per 24 hour period.

His family says that he will absolutely love a greeting video and will probably play it over and over!

Please submit your photo or video in costume to the link below saying “May the Force Be With You”,  “The Force is Strong with You”, or a short message to Greyson. A sign is attached in the Google Drive if you would like to use it.

Participating in this troop will count as an official troop and count towards your census.

To get credit, you’ll need to suit up in your appropriate costume(s) and post video, rename video with your name and ID, in this folder by 6/10/20 5:00pm:

Videos should be filmed horizontally and in good lighting

TROOP TIPS

• Wear your full approved costume as you would in normal troops
• Be safe when taking your photos/videos and avoid dangerous stunts
• Set a good example and maintain social distancing.
• No weapons.
• Don’t target/mock any groups of people, even if meant as a joke
• Don’t take your buckets off or do anything else outside the CRL.
• Don’t gather with fellow troopers to do a joint shoot (remember social distancing)

Remember, even at home, we are still the proud 501st Legion. We are still representing the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California, birthplace of Star Wars, home of Lucasfilm, and the golden gateway to the Empire itself.
