As the state slowly reopens, for the safety of our members, we will evaluate and post events on a case by case basis.
We will be enforcing the following policies for in person troops for the duration of the pandemic:
1. We will cap all events at 5 characters & 2 handlers max.
2. All events will be treated as Spec Ops. Command staff will select the troopers for each event to allow everyone the opportunity to participate.
3. Troopers/Handers must wear masks and maintain a minimum 6 foot distance from others at all times (from arrival to departure of event). This includes taking photos with the public, a distanced selfie or spaced out shot is fine, a close in selfie or group shot is not.
4. Masks must be worn under helmets and should be a solid color. Face characters must wear all black mask or a solid color mask matching their flightsuit/jacket.
5. Handlers must wear a solid black, GGG Handler, or Star Wars themed T-shirt and a solid black mask.
6. Failure to adhere to these policies will disqualify you from future in person troops
In addition please be aware that by signing up for any event you understand the possible health risks of trooping during the COVID 19 pandemic.

| Please briefly describe the event: | For the last five decades, Social Advocates for Youth (SAY) has been building a better community for children and youth across Sonoma County. In that time, we have provided critical services to more than 50,000 young people, successfully advocated for the decriminalization of runaway youth, and passionately pursued our bold goal of eliminating youth homelessness. This year marks SAY’s 50th birthday, and we are ready to celebrate! For our golden birthday, we are hosting a drive-through celebration. On April 17th, we’re inviting the community to decorate their cars, honk their horns, and offer up birthday wishes for our young people.
We would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have Storm Troopers onsite to help us provide a family friendly, entertaining event – as far as a drive-through birthday party could be, that is. Help us welcome party-goers, who will remain in their cars and drive through our parking lot transformed to a visually exciting event venue. We have a bold goal to raise over $300,000 for our life-changing youth programs, and your presence would certainly help us draw in many community members and dollars! We may be able to provide a staging area/tent for costume changes. Will need your confirmation, and then we will rent the tent. |
