Photographer: NO. VES has booked Anet Hershey Forbes as their Photographer and can assure great coverage of our members and delivery of those photo assets to us after one week of the event.

Parking: VES will provide reserved parking places
Comments: This is a celebration of our history together and a fortification of our continued success in the future. GGG attendance as guests actually takes precedence over trooping. VES is extremely pleased to invite members of the 501st GGG to the VES Bay Area BBQ 2021. This is the first live event that they have been able to schedule for 15 months and it is with a great sense of pride that they extend the invitation to the GGG not only troop the event but to attend the BBQ as their guests. In other words, come, hang out, eat, drink, laugh and then at some point gear up for a photo op. VES has always been so honored by the presence of the GGG at VES events and ER is humbled by how welcomed he felt by GGG. What we do is always presented and appreciated as a gift, to him, to the members, and to the entire VFX Bay Area community. Please come out and help VES celebrate not only where they are today, but also the continuation of our long and highly valued relationship.

Are we allowed to still show up if we’re not Trooping in costume? Can we just go for the food, entertainment and take pictures? Didn’t get to sign up in costume so was just wondering since it mentions GGG attending as guests.

sorry for the late response. We do have a limited number of spaces, so you must be signed up as a trooper/handler in order to participate.
Are all trooping and/or handler slots full for this event? I’m available for a backup Vader and/or handler if needed.
Hoping that being able to attend the barbeque and helping with the troop is still open…I can bring my 181st TIE and my handler shirt…just in case. 🙂
