Comments: The 21st Annual Niles Festival of Lights Parade opens the holiday season in Fremont. The parade features marching bands, characters, guests, floats, dance teams, and more. We ask there be no weapons carried in the parade. This parade has a focus on children.

Just found out that we will be in the area for turkey day weekend. I can handle and combat photog. I see Reno had Vader covered. I can also be backup Vader if I have a few day’s advance notice.
Update as of 11/8/2021
In as Vader so long as there is a handler for the event. I’m OK with being a handler instead of Vader if we need a handler.
Question / clarification for the EC – Are lightsabers OK to bring/use?

If we’ve got some TI Reserves ( with good visibility) then I’ll switch to my TK.
ID for me, I’ll have 2 cadets and a mouse droid.
I’ll switch to scout if we get more handlers.
I’ll be there in my TK, and my wife Titian will be there to handle.
I was going to sign up with Rebel Legion (you know, lightsabers at night are fun), but I can do ID to make sure all of our hard armored troopers don’t miss a step. It’s a loud parade so we’ll need to strategically place the sighted troopers with the helmeted ones, but we can make it work. The crowds always love the troopers.
