Parking: Parking is free in the lots throughout Crissy Field. The event site is closest to the East Shelter. Here is a parking map for reference.

Amenities available at venue: Restrooms will be available on site as well as water, coffee, fruit, granola bars, and pastries.

Comments: This is a family friendly 5k event for runners and walkers of all ages in support of brain cancer research. There will be awards provided for those who have lost their lives to brain cancer, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare heroes.

Referred by: Head for the Cure has been hosting 5ks all over the country for the last 21 years. We strive to have the 501st legion at all our events- people of all ages love it.

Rough event timeline:

• 8 am: Participants begin to arrive and will pick up their race materials/ we will have registration open for those who wish to register on the day of event. They will meet with vendors/grab some coffee, donuts, etc..
• 9 am: 5k begins
• 10:15 am: Kid’s Fun Run
• 10:30 am: Programs begin- recognizing survivors, caregivers, and healthcare heroes, honoring those lost.
• 10:45 am: awards
• 10:50 am: Survivor photo
• 11 am: everything will be wrapping up
