    Notes

Gynnie L. was ill and good not attend. All other troopers arrived on time. We were ready to troop by 3:30pm. ER provided an extremely generous amount of space to get suited up, including multiple private rooms. They also provided beverages and snacks for troopers. The ER had a predefined route through the marketplace for us that we reviewed with her. There were several other community members present in their own cosplays at various “selfie stations” along the route. It appeared clear to event attendees the other costumers were not associated with the 501st legion.
We finished the first half of the route; the plan was then to run the route again backwards and deviate slightly at the end. But we ended up stopping part way for photo ops at a central location where the ER was holding a cosplay contest. They asked me to say a few things about the legion, to which I gave the boilerplate, we are GGG part of 501st legion. Sha Sha made a good point that it would have been a good opportunity to mention a specific charity we were supporting that day. We then continued back to the start point and finished around 5:30pm.
ER very generously provided multiple gifts from the stores in the marketplace, several of which were to redeem food items on that day.
The marketplace was decorated with at least a dozen 501st flags. They were the correct logo but we were not aware the ER had done this. I spoke with the ER and they mentioned they were purchased off Amazon. I informed the ER there is nothing wrong with using them, but we need a request included in the event request so we can clear usage of the logo with the Legion first. They appeared to understand and did not raise any issues with it.
