The 2025 NASA Space Apps Challenge in Mountain View, happening October 4–5 at NASA Ames Research Center is a global hackathon where students, professionals, and community members come together for one weekend to use NASA’s open data to solve real challenges facing Earth and space. Teams collaborate to create solutions such as apps, websites, hardware designs, visualizations, or business concepts, and present their projects to local judges. Some standout ideas even receive global recognition or inspire new startups. The International Space Alliance (ISA), a nonprofit dedicated to making space exploration inclusive and accessible, proudly leads the Mountain View site. ISA ensures the hackathon is welcoming, engaging, and supportive for all participants, including youth and underserved communities, while providing mentorship and resources to help teams succeed.
