Comments:
Get ready to unleash your creativity and dive into a world of imagination at Bricks by the Books, the ultimate LEGO brick-building extravaganza coming to Santa Clara City Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 10! Whether you’re a master builder or a first-time brick stacker, this event is your chance to bring stories to life through the magic of LEGO bricks. Inspired by your favorite books, you’ll craft epic scenes, design fantastical characters, and build jaw-dropping creations that leap off the pages. With endless bricks, friendly competitions, and a community of fellow builders, Bricks by the Books is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of storytelling, innovation, and fun for all ages. Activities will include panels by LEGO brick experts, a photobooth for a special keepsake, a children’s craft, LEGO brick vendors, build contests and so much more. Would like the troopers to walk around the event at their leisure to take photos with the public. Possibly draft them in to line control if needed to walk up the down the line to take photos while people wait.

My daughter, Jenna, said she can handle this event too. So I plan to bring her (she’s not a 501st member, but is a trained handler).
Hey Jay! Can you have your daughter sign up as a handler in the forum? If she has trouble, she can reach out to our web liaison at: gwm@501stggg.com. Thanks!
Sorry, just saw this. I’m not sure how to do that, so I’m sure she doesn’t either. We’ll try to figure it out. But she doesn’t either plan to handle.
Typo in last message: she does plan to handle.
Any chance I can do6a last minute sign up for this? As a tie pilot?
Late add — I can swing by with my officer from like 1 to 4pm if that works for the Garrison.

A very nice troop. Well attended. Hosts provided changing area and snacks with easy bathroom access, which is always nice.
