This year they are giving us a bigger area to help with our setup and for 501st participants.

Comments: Summer Scamper is a 5k run/walk and kids’ fun run benefiting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 on Stanford’s campus. During the Scamper run, we will serve water to the runners as well as cheering them on to finish the race. Several opportunities for pictures will be available to all the runners. Bring the heart as it will be touched

Referred by:  I have been working with 501st for several years. You guys rock when it comes to bringing love and support to all the children and families…

Mission Report: [2025-06-21] Annual Summer Scamper | Palo Alto| SAT 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

    Details:
Arrived on-site at 7:40 PM and parked in the “Stanford Oval.” Plenty of parking is available, and it’s an easy walk to our changing area. (I just followed the sound of Liz Milian’s laugh.) 🙂 Our green room was a bright yellow portable pop up tent with plenty of space for all of our troopers and our bins. The Port-A-Potties were about a 15-minute walk from our changing area, located at the “carnival area” at the end. So, we headed out as a group to use the facilities before suiting up. It was a nice opportunity to walk the campus, and we were suited up by about 9 AM.

The Summer Scamper typically sees 2,500-3,000 participants each year- including a special “Kids Division” aged 3-10.

This year’s run was a big success based upon the large numbers of runners passing by us today and the many high fives we gave and photos we took with attendees. The organizers have already asked if we would come back again next year.
