Our own Golden Gate Garrison member, Vincent Vigil’s godson needs some support and would love to see his godfather’s garrison offer some encouraging words in video form!

A message that Vince just posted today:

GGG,  

This one hits close to home for our Family.

Earlier this month my godson was just like any other little boy, playing video games, running around and full of energy. Unfortunately, one night after arriving home from a family event my godson started having trouble with his balance, as the night went on he became more and more unstable and eventually could no longer walk independently, His mom took him went straight to the ER. 

In a matter of 24 hours there our whole world has been turned upside down as my godson has been diagnosed with post infectious transverse myelitis. Chayo is now home and is getting better and getting stronger each day. Our family is trying to keep his spirits lifted. 

He is a great kid and a great big brother to his sister.

I’m hoping the GGG can send him some support, The Force is Strong with this One..

Please record yourself in full saying some encouraging words, holding up a sign (see below) or a simple wave at the camera for Chayo. We will be editing all videos of encouragement into one video and sending it to Chayo. You can send some swag to Chayo as well using the address above.

TROOP TIPS

Do

– Wear your full approved costume as you would in normal troops

– Be safe when taking your photos/videos and avoid dangerous stunts

– Set a good example and maintain social distancing.

Don’t

– No brandishing or pointing weapons toward the camera.

– Target/mock any groups of people, even if meant as a joke

– Take your buckets off or do anything else outside the CRL.

– Gather with fellow troopers to do a joint shoot (remember social distancing) unless in the same family

Remember, even at home, we are still the proud 501st Legion. We are still representing the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California, birthplace of Star Wars, home of Lucasfilm, and the golden gateway to the Empire itself.
