Comments: When you were approved into the GGG, your armor/costume was CRL-perfect. But, over many days of hard trooping and chasing down rebel insurgents, our gear naturally starts to show signs of wear.

 

Join us for an Armor Maintenance Party.

Together, we will scrub, repair and fix every busted snap, seam and discolored piece. Together, we can get our kit back to “just stepped off the movie screen” perfection.

I’ve got glue, sludge, and assorted basic paint to make any trooper look good. If you need speciality equipment for your costume, ping me a note ahead to see if I have it.

I’ll be providing food and iced beverages, (lunch only.) We’ll be working outdoors, so dress accordingly.

Do you have collectibles or clothing that once brought you joy but are now taking up precious cargo space? Bring it along and trade it for something else. Anything goes at this Galactic Swap Meet! From buttons to books and patches to Porgs. Trade it all.

    Hello. It’s me, Diana Torres, your host. Adding myself in and, of course, I’ll TL.

    I’ll be serving up a big pot of three-bean chili for lunch with fresh bread from our local Gilroy panadería. We’ll also have a couple of pizzas, in case chili isn’t your scene.

    We’re kicking our rambunctious cattle dog out of the house for the event, so she won’t help herself to items from the Swap Meet. (Porg? This looks like a dog toy…)

    Looking forward to a fun day of mending, fixing and costume maintenance.

    Awesome! Thanks Diana! I need to fix my TI chest box (side straps destroyed and to replace with magnets or snaps) and possibly add electronics to my rig. Any help would be appreciated!

    @Oliver, working together we can probably all put out heads together and fix just about anything. @Ariane, yes, I do have something I need some sewing help on. Excited we can all work together at this party.

    Jen, that’s awesome! So glad you may be coming! At this rate, we are going to set up a Tailor’s Corner for those of you with such great skill with a needle. I will simply watch in awe and see what I can learn from you.

    If not too late, I would love to join to work on the TK! (Not really maintenance but more assembly.) I have my own tools/supplies to share with anyone needing them.
