Virtual Troop
10/13– 10/31 | Action Shot Photo Troop

Action Shot photo:

– Full body shot is required.
– “Canon-Like” Action Poses Only.
– Please only include weapons that are part of your costume’s CRL.

(If you would like to use this photo for a trading card photo, we suggest you slightly turn your body to the right instead of left. You will also need to take a “buckets off” photo from the waist up in armor for the back of the card. Click HERE to visit trading card page for more detailed information. )

Participating in this troop will count as an official troop and count towards your census.
To get credit, you’ll need to suit up in your appropriate costume(s) and post photo, rename photo with your name and ID, in this folder no later than 10/31/20:

Photo Tips:

– Make sure you are in focus.
– Try and have the light source from in front of you at an off angle.
– Medium Gray backdrop will work best. NO Green backdrops please. (What’s good for the movies isn’t so good for photos and Photoshop).
– (2) light sources are best. (3) if you throw light on the background for more separation.
– Cell phone pictures can work as long as you take up much of the frame and the photo comes out clear and not grainy.
– The photo should be at least 2000 pixels from head to toe.

TROOP TIPS
Do
• wear your full approved costume as you would in normal troops
• be safe when taking your photos/videos and avoid dangerous stunts
• Set a good example and maintain social distancing.

Don’t
• Target/mock any groups of people, even if meant as a joke
• Take your buckets off or do anything else outside the CRL.
• Gather with fellow troopers to do a joint shoot (remember social distancing)

Remember, even at home, we are still the proud 501st Legion. We are still representing the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California, birthplace of Star Wars, home of Lucasfilm, and the golden gateway to the Empire itself.
