Comments: Junior League of Napa Sonoma Presents our 3rd annual Ride A Rig. Last year the 501st was able to send 2 StormTroopers to our event, and it was a highlight of the event. We would love to have the 501st come and provide the opportunity for our community to see such an unusual and passionate group. The event details are below.
Every child loves to explore, climb, and touch. Ride-a-Rig provides the unique opportunity for children to explore
vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and
just plain cool vehicles all in one place! Children will be allowed to get behind the wheels, honk the horns, and meet the
people who help build, protect, and serve our community. Last year almost 1,000 members of our community attended.
Games and face painting will also be included.
Funds raised support our signature projects including GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) female empowerment workshops
for underserved local high school girls, as well as the Living Room day shelter’s annual Valentine’s Day project, and the
important work of the Sonoma County Human Trafficking Task Force. Past projects include seed money for VOICES
Sonoma to buy their first house and The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County’s Museum-on-the-Go.
Ride-a-Rig provides an excellent opportunity for sponsors to showcase their brand and interact with parents, children,
League members and the greater Sonoma and Napa County communities-at-large. There are multiple ways for your
organization to participate: event sponsorships, program advertisement, performance, or in-kind support services such
as donating raffle items.
