Comments: The event is our Walk, Bike and Roll to school Walking School Bus which encourages children to walk, bike or roll to school to help them stay physically fit, but also to help the environment. We expect somewhere between 100-200 students to join the walking school bus on its way to school. Once they arrive at school, they are greeted by the principal and other staff, as well as the characters. Once the morning announcements are made, we have a short assembly for the entire school that we would like the characters to also attend that stresses the importance of exercise and maintaining a healthy heart.

I am attending as TK. Note: the majority of this event is from 7:30 – 8:00 AM taking photos with the students as they are coming in to school. If you need to take off to another troop at this time, no worries. After 8 AM, there will be an assembly. I can always do this on my own, as the assemblies involve a lot of standing around in costume and listening to little kids sing. (If you want to stay, you are more than welcome.) 🙂
