Hello, we are so excited for this year’s Napa 4th of July Parade. We are working this week on placement assignments along the route and will be sending a final email, with your placement number, no later than the end of the day, Monday, July 1. We’ve made a few changes this year, in response to lots of great feedback. As a reminder:

Registration/check in will be behind the Police Department/City Hall
Registration will be open beginning at 7:00 am
    Staging begins at 8:00 am
All entries must have a patriotic theme, i.e. red, white & blue decorations, etc.
This year we will not have a grand stand, but will have the new “President’s Prize”.
Entries performing will have an opportunity to perform in front of our amazing Mistress of Ceremonies stand, featuring Napa Councilwoman Doris Gentry!
The President’s Award will be decided by past Sunrise Rotarian Presidents, who will walk the route between 8:00 and 9:00 am
The President’s Award will go to the most patriotic entry, personifying our theme “Celebrating the American Dream”.
The winner of the President’s Award will be announced at the beginning of the Parade.
The Parade kicks off at 10:00 am and we ask that entries do not include signage with political or controversial messages, adhering to our goal of a family friendly patriotic parade.
PLEASE no throwing candy. We don’t have the resources to do cleanup.
Finally, If you are bringing horses, etc. PLEASE have a designated person to clean up after the animals.

I have organized and put on this event for years but had to step back for personal reasons this year. It’s hard to do but I had to. I will TRY- tentative photographer- to take some pictures before step off and later as you pass by when I sit with my family. But I’ll do what I can to take some pictures. This parade is my pride and joy to have our this on having our group in this- I’ll do what I can. Hope to be back strong next year.
