—–UPDATES FROM EVENT REQUESTER—–

Here is the Ronald McDonald House fine print.

If you can please have your team meet at our Arrillaga Family Center 10-15 minutes early that would be great. It would take time for us to get everyone properly badged in. Everyone must bring government issued ID because we run visitors through our sex offender database due to the population that we serve. In addition, I am including some of our guidelines on infection control, boundaries and confidentiality. If you can please read and share it with everyone before the event, that would be great.

Volunteers 18 years old or above should bring government-issued ID and present it to the front desk upon check in.

Volunteers who experience the following symptoms or illness should NOT come to the House:
Flu or virus
Upper respiratory tract infection, i.e., especially during the first 3 – 4 days of scratchy sore throat, coughing and sneezing.
Skin lesions, i.e., cold sores, fever blisters, etc.
Conjunctivitis, commonly referred to as red/pink eye
Diarrhea
Chicken pox/Shingles
Any contagious illness or disease. Or have been exposed to a contagious illness within the past 48 hrs.
(These guidelines are set forth by the infection control department at our partner organization Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.)

What to avoid doing/saying while at the House
Please know that our families are experiencing a serious crisis and we ask that all volunteers respect their privacy by avoiding the following things:
Asking any family member why they’re here
Asking any family member what is wrong with their child or how their child is doing
Exchanging any personal information with any family members
Taking photo or video of any family member. Written consent is required.
Having any physical contact with families
