Join us from now through July in collecting new and gently used Hawaiian shirts for our deployed soldiers. Several years ago, I discovered this incredible initiative and felt compelled to participate. Since 2017, Hawaiian Shirts for Deployed Soldiers has been sending boxes of shirts and luau decorations to troops worldwide, aiming to uplift their spirits during challenging times.

You can find shirts at thrift shops, rummage sales, garage sales, Costco, department stores, or even donate an extra shirt from your own closet.
I’ve contacted CCG to propose a friendly competition to see who can gather the most shirts. To kick things off, I’ve already purchased 9 shirts. Check back here every Monday and Friday for updates. At the Pistahan Parade, we’ll combine shirts from GGG and CCG and send a joint shipment from both garrisons.
Don’t forget to leave a note in the pocket of each shirt to thank the troops for their service. Your small gesture can make a big difference!

    Let’s make a difference together!

Sara Bermudez will be collecting shirts at events, or you can mail them to her at:
